I am an avid reader of SciFi and Fantasy. I started this review blog because I was getting a little tired of Goodreads and wanted a better platform. I work with technology for a living, play around with servers for fun, so I figured I could use a new website. I have been a fan of Science fiction and Fantasy since I was a kid. My dad would read Tolkien and other fantasy and we would watch Star Wars. My mom loved the old school stuff like Godzilla. I was surrounded by it. The first books I can remember buying for myself were the Redwall books by Brian Jacques in elementary school. I used to wait for everyone to think I was asleep and read them under the covers with a light. I moved up to LOTR in middle school and even took a “great books” elective where we read classics like The Time Machine.

When not reading I am also a gamer, tech tinkerer, general nerd, and I spend a large portion of my time fishing. I have a full time job supervising a team that does remote network software installs and another more billing relate group. I work long hours so I try to keep this site updated, but I do have other priorities.

For rating books I generally use a 5 star system with 1 star being something I can barely get through, and 5 stars being mind blowing or life changing.
